I’m an offensive security engineer. The fastest way to understand a system is to figure out how to break it, so that is what I do, on purpose, in an air gapped lab, where nobody gets hurt and nothing ends up in a courtroom.
My work lives in web application testing, Active Directory, and network attack paths, with a deliberate bias toward building my own tooling instead of reaching for someone else’s. Narrow and deep beats broad and shallow. I would rather own one attack surface completely than wave at ten.
On the other side of the desk I am the founder of Vyrox Security, where we build memory-safe, autonomous infrastructure that investigates threats deterministically. There is a joke in here somewhere: I spend my days building defenses and my nights finding every way past them. Know your enemy. It turns out the enemy and I use the same compiler.
I ship something most weeks, even when it is small. I write down what I figure out, even when it is embarrassing. The work is the whole point. Everything else is noise.

keirsalterego is a fusion of Gaelic and Latin meaning the dark Citadel of my second self. Yes, I chose it. No, I am not going to apologize for it.

My biggest threat is not the CFAA. It is me, at 3am, deciding sleep is optional. It is not.
